One could argue, that we paid for it, when we bought an MPC...

In what way did you pay for unannounced, never promised, future features?

I agree that bug fixes and improvements to poorly implemented features should be expected as part of the initial purchase, but receiving completely new features are a bonus, you shouldn’t buy anything with an expectation that it will have extra features just magically added for free, not unless they are specifically promised at the time of purchase.

A bit annyoing for MPC users is the fact that Akai removed the simple clip launcher with 3.x. The new clip matrix is of course much better, yet you are forced to buy a pack to get get something you already had.

And that the bottom tier gen2 device come without the clip matrix is disappointing. IMHO it is effectively THE worklflow for 3.x after the removal of 2.x programs.

Yes it's definitely strange that they haven't started making clip matrix a default core feature for gen 2, maybe they didn't have budget to add a 'matrix' button to the One/key37 chassis...?

As for mpc2 clip programs, it really doesn't compare to what we have with MPC3 clip matrix so I really don't agree that Akai took something away and charged money to bring it back, they are two completely different features.

Only you will argue that you paid for it when you bought your mpc... this is not an iphone.. also if you think with that same childish logic even apple stop supporting old iphones.. dont be that guy..

199 is rediculous.
10k peops buying the cliplauncher for 40-50 bucks is better than 5 peops buying the propack for fantasy-numbers.

I guess I’m peop #6 then, I paid 199 for it a while back.

Seemed high but apparently they priced it right because I bought it. I have two devices an X and a Force so get a little extra value from plug-ins.

this could also be a reason, to not include the propack to the gen2 mpc one. i have a one plus and if i would buy then the gen2 one and get the propack, i had payed 600ish coin for the new unit effectivly.

This does not help us G1 users, but after adding the pro pack to cart, you see this statement:

"*MPC One G2 and MPC Key 37 G2 customers receive special upgrade pricing upon registration of their MPC product."

I understand the frustration but I paid $99 for the propack for my X to only get the XL that included the propack months later that I could've you used that license on my X . What I saying is we all have to pay one way or another..

I got my MPC One used a little over a year ago and paid $99 for the pro pack and bought a few plugins as well. I think I have way enough sounds and effects to keep me going for awhile. Granted my use of the device is at a fairly basic level. It was at 3.5 when I bought it and 2 major upgrades since then (3.6 and 3.9) I actually consider pretty good support.
