Hi Folks,

Just wondering if any of you on OS 3.9 (standalone) are having problems with the Shutdown process getting stuck?

I have a pair of MPC One Gen1 that were both running OS 3.8 smoothly before updating. I use SD-Cards as my primary storage for Projects, and I have my Preferences configured so that add/on expansions/synths are also stored on the card.

The first time this happened (after waiting an hour for shutdown to finish, I pulled the power plug), and upon rebooting, the MPC was stuck on the MPC logo screen. I figured it might be related to the SD Card, so I tried rebooting without the card inserted and it booted fine.

As a means of troubleshooting, on my Mac I inserted the SD Card (which is formatted as ExFAT) and ran Disk First Aid on it in Disk Utility - no errors came up in the log. I safely ejected the card, reinserted it into the MPC and it booted fine.

This has been the case for about 3 or 4 days, but now it has happened again. This is a new behaviour since the 3.9 update, with my MPC journey commencing only a couple of months ago with OS 3.8.

What can cause the shutdown to get stuck?

Don't why but try resetting the Preferences & if that does work try downgrading & upgrade back to 3.9, but see if the problem still happen on the older OS. Reset the Preferences once back to 3.9 or each time to change the OS.

Still not working, hit support or send a report:
