MPC One took about 5 tries to boot at last night's open mic

First time something like this has happened.

I've been using it with a USB hub to connect to a UMC404 audio interface and Beatstep Pro. It would not boot until I had everything connected, which I find odd. Of course this was in the 20 minutes I had to set up and so I didn't really get to the bottom of it. Finally it worked and things went OK. At home of course I am not disconnecting things but this seems a bit off, like suppose I decided to go somewhere and NOT use the USB stuff?

a similar thing happened to me today, it did not finish booting until I inserted an usb drive (via usb hub) which had been removed while the mpc was off.
This never happened before.

coincidence, or a date / time related bug? or heat related? it never had been that warm in my room,
but its not extreme, maybe 25 degrees.

It has happened to me too, sometimes, when a USB device or a USB hub is connected while booting.

Still on 3.6.0.

I assume it happned here when nothing connected with the hub was powered on
will investigate this another time

Where were you drawing power from? Could have been the venues power. Did they have proper power and amperage or just regular single phase power that you would have at your home?

Basically, did they have a bunch of equipment they don’t normally used plugged into the wall with Walmart power strips and extensions cords lol

It's a small performance space at an arts center in Santa Cruz. I've performed there a few times, first time I had any problems. That said I did not analyze the wall voltage.
