How to load in custom chord sets? (Not progressions)

I have a bunch of chords that are not all in same key but I want to have them across the pads in a pad preset.

I have the midi file. Is it possible to import them and use them in a custom set? I see there is a custom option but I’m not sure how to use it.

Interested to know myself, because I use chord progressions to save favorite chord sets to play with and transpose if needed. But then you only get 16 max plus have to enable the mode.

But in case you didn’t already know you can just save a series of up to 16 of whatever chords you want as a clip or in arranger mode, then save them as a custom chord progression, then pull it up in any key group or plug-in and play them in whatever order you want or just the same one over and over or whatever with the pads. And you’ll still be able to use a midi keyboatd on the side also. Or transpose them up and down octaves or change scales. Or play arps with them. Or probably a lot of other shit. It’s a feature I don’t see used much on YouTube.

The custom option is for single note to pad mappings only, you can only assign a specific note once. Why don't you want to use a chord progression? it does exactly what you want to do. You get 32 chords per progression. The next 16 are on bank B.

Would be nice to have a feature of key grouped chords. Where one octave is assigned to trigger the root note, then higher notes assigned to different voicings and inversions of our choosing. This could work nicely on the MPC-Key 37, with either the pads assigned to the root note and the keyboard assigned to the voicings, or vice versa. White keys could assigns to major keys and black to minor. So one set up could be C1 + C2 = Cmaj, and D1 + C2 = Dmaj, but C1 + D2 = Cmaj 2nd inversion where as C1+C#2 = Cm and C1 + D#2 = Cm 2nd inversions. Then higher notes would be C1 + C3 = C9(b9). And all these chords and voicing would be user created.
