Hi.
I´m hoping for a better step sequencer and a list editor in a tracker style.
Can´t see a useful way to record to it in a fluid way and seems so halfbaked to me.
Come on Akai/ Inmusic/ AirMusicTech or whatever you are called.
Please!

If u have touch stripp set to Qlnks u can at any time (realtime or step seq) use it to input /record whatever the last Qlink encoder u touched was set too ..

Does it not work ghis way?? .. (dont have one ..but if this is correct it seams quick and fluid for cc input :smoker:

My MPCX doesn´t have a touchstrip.
You mean recording modulations with that? I´m after a sequencer style of typing in notes like I would do in the DAW.
Hyakken has several sequencer plugins that are easy to use, inspirational and effective. Robotic Bean is another good one.
Sequencer always was the unloved child in MPC. We have dozens of fx and synths now in this machine (good thing) but it just stops there. Ionas sequencer is a step into the right direction. It must be very easy to implement a more sophisticated one.

100% on an advance step sequencer mode (I would expect that to be a future plugin rather than a mpc rewrite.. although rotate and clock division, and playback order within a mpc track would be awesome..

Can anyone with the new models comment if touch strip > qlink mode can be used as a quick way to bypass all the encoder assignment hoops needed for selecting cc's /qlinks for step sequencing thx!

The new Vintage Pro has an AWESOME arpeggiator (awesome synth and fx too)!
Unfortunately I can´t route its MIDI messages to an other channel.
It has random per percentage. Wikked man...

a "midi out" checkbox with a channel selector on ALL instruments which have a sequenzer (f.e iona) would be the kicker. should be a little change in the code with little-to-no sideeffects. there even isnt a need for a switch for the output (although would be cleaner), if not needed one could set the volume of the instrument to 0.

Setting the TOUCH STRIP to “STRIP: Q-LINK 1” allows the touch strip to control the current last touched q-link. Ie. q-link 1 in this example. Simply touch the q-link and it’s controllable via touch strip.

With each 1 tap of the TOUCH STRIP button, it advances thru this list (not all items in the list have a CONFIG page).
Q-LINK
PAD LEVEL
TRACK LEVEL
NOTES (up and down on the touch strip seems to “browse” note audio, just like scrolling in the browser)
NOTE STRUM
PITCH BEND
MOD WHEEL
SUSTAIN
EXPRESSION
CROSS FADER
and then back to OFF.
