Ableton export broken with all combinations of settings, the hardware just locks up most of the time, and when it doesn’t there is no arrangement audio.

None of the export stems/sequences options have worked as expected in any of the 3.x OS's.

Just upgraded to 3.8 the other day and I'm getting audio dropouts when switching sequences especially if the sequence has a loop section shorter than the sequence. So for example 8 bar sequence with the loop set to bars 4 to 8 makes the playhead loop back to bar one, silence for 4 bars and then audio starts back up at bar 4.

Further testing gives me random audio dropouts in various situations. Going to have to downgrade back to 3.6 just to keep working on this project.

Extremely frustrating.

3.9 bug

Causes my Cranborne 500R8 (connected as a class compliant audio interface to the OG MPC One) to refuse ADAT sync with a connected Ferrofish Pulse 16MX.

Was going to downgrade back to 3.8, but Akai publicly removed that firmware. However, when downgrading to 3.7, my 500R8 and Pulse 16 sync via ADAT with no issue as they did before 3.9.

I reported this as a bug.

After you upgraded to 3.9 did you rest your system preferences?

"Known Issues:
Held pad or key events stop playing when changing Sequence or Clip during playback."

Not fixed yet... but, at least it's still listed/acknowledged (prolly working on it). Hoping it's fixed soon.

Thanks, this sorted the issue out, so far.

This problem is back, resetting system preferences in 3.9 no longer resolves the issue. Still waiting to hear from Akai.

Yup...

Strange behaviour here, everytime i start to play a song from the begninning (Shit Stop + play or PlayStart), the MPC jump to focus on track one...

This is really frustrating.

Anybody elese did encounter this issue and find a way to stop the MPC doing it ?

Edit : MPC LIVE Gen1 - FW 3.9

Do you it set to auto jump to that track on that seq?
There an option to do this - I don't remember where tho, but it's a feature in the box. You may have set it without knowing.

Wow ... Interessting, just need to figure out where this option is...

Currently deep dive in all option menu/preferences with no luck by now.

Thx for giving me hope, got this issue on my main default template with a lot of HW hooked to the MPC, a lot of midi mapping (IN and OUT).

This would be a pain to redo it from scratch.

MPC 3.9 - Arranger actions crash MPC (XL)

I have a 260 bar song in the arranger, 14 tracks, all midi and 2 of them drum tracks. so nothing really taxing.

- using the playhead knob glitches out the playhead. It just shows crazy jittery numbers and the red bar wobbles
- selecting all midi notes of a track freezes the MPC for 10-20secs or just crashes it all together
- recording a clip matrix performance also has the following issues: only half the notes are recorded to arranger and at some point the progress bars of the playing clips become choppy.
- recording to arrangement is also not working. Selecting "record to arrangement" and pressing record makes the arrangement tracks flash red. Selecting the first clip row will then stop the recording but play the row. Hitting record multiple times will at some point make it record but then the clip is already playing

I fiddled around a bit. After resetting prefs a couple of times in a row when it did not work after the first time it got partially better. At least the glitches of the playhead are gone and recording to arrangement works. But it's still really unstable when selecting bigger portions of midi in the arranger.

I've noticed different bugs pop up when I use wifi to download the firmware.
When I resort to firmware download via computer to usb stick then on to MPC, I many issues clear up.
May be worth trying usb stick firmware. I don't use wifi to update firmware anymore.
