Hi all. Am thinking of getting an MPC for live performances.
As I have a Tascam Model 12 that I use live, I was wondering if anyone knew whether the USB-C interface option would work with the Model 12 so I could separate outputs into the Tascam (ie using the M12 as an audio interface)? I am presuming earlier pre USB-C MPC models don't allow that?
Thanks
David

I don't have a G2 Live, but the G1 machines (Live and Force in my case) have worked fine for ages with the M12 as an interface, including when running the 3.x firmware. That's via usb A to C (and it works over an unpowered hub for me as well).

You have decent hands on control of levels, eq, comp, fx (as in the M12 eq/comp/fx) so it should be good for live use. I can imagine sending the buses to different M12 channels for example.

Thanks Zack. I think I’ll grab a used live II or MPC One then. If I like it, I can upgrade to a Live III down the line.
Cheers
David.
