Exactly the reason why I find it hard to “let loose” on S2400 pads. Those pads are like the distant cousin coming to visit and you really don’t feel like having company but you invite the Fam in anyway cause the rest of the Fam is somewhat cool.

Yeah, totally agree... the keybed's sensitivity, responsiveness & dynamics is super important.

I sent a ticket (for suggestion/request) for a Fatar TP-110 or Korg RH3 keybed for future product.

Speaking of pads... totally noticed my new X SE's pads aren't as sensitive, responsive nor dynamic as my ex-mpc60 (maybe since it's old and super broken in? idk, lol). All good, it's what I have now and it's good enuf.

I'm not so interested in a fancy keyboard version, but my Hydrasynth Explorer has poly after touch. If they gave the keyboard Poly aftertouch and made the Akai MPE compatible, that would be a knock on a effect that would make me welcome a flagship keyboard version.

even if they did it they'd find a way to screw it up. like having one of the notes cut out lol.

I bought the MPC61 when it came out. Loved the MPC bit (First time user) despite the bugs, but the actual keys were grim. So I bought an 88 key controller and an MPC One, but then of course I missed various controls and it just wasn't as tactile a solution. Now have the MPC 37 Gen 2 to play around with but killer spec for me would be.

73 / 76 / 88 Fully weighted keys.
A bigger, tiltable screen.

That's pretty much it. Would pay £2500 no problem which is less than a Kronos.

Keep your 88Key Controller and get the MPC XL, tilt screen and it's packed with all the knobs and extra controls. Love mine.

if Akai stop half stepping, lol! just got g2 but honestly without mpce pads and and any of the external hardware updates it seems more lie g1.5. Actually don't mind the keys as much, love the work flow and the usb c connection is great addition. still would highly recommend but no disruption jus retail psychology

I tried it with most of them in the end (x, Live II, one) but it's just a hassle for me having them separate. The X was huge and it was hard to use when playing as it didn't fit on top.

I swear the G2's keybed is better than my old MPC61's though I no longer have it. Just need a longer one so I can use both hands.
