Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Ok im sure peeps have asked thses b4 but im in a bit of a rush and dont have time to check.
First, how do i make a produce a drum roll?
Second where do most of you get ur drum sounds from i.e which records u sample off?
Finally, can anyone suggest a good comptaible scsi drive to connect to my mpc 2000xl.

1.hold down note repeate and press the pad(drum sample)you want to roll while in record mode.
2.why sample from what everyone is sampling from?
blaze your own trail breath some fresh air into your style of music- no more funky drummer samples!!!!
go to your local used record store and peep the 99 cent section listen to the records frist if you can,(listen for sound separation solo drum parts) if not just invest 10$ on what ever catches your intrest.
3.I think akaipro.com has a listing of compatable
cd rom drives posted on it site. mine is a for mac mgi 24x model #mctr24ex. try to buy one from a computer store because guitar center and the like
will try and rip you off. B COOL!!!

If you want your drum rolls, to sound a little bit more natural, turn off the "full level" function, slow down the tempo (it'll be easier) and tap your drum roll manually. (then set the tempo back to its normal value) That way, you'll get small level variations that make the roll sound "live".
