mpc 60 files

I have also tried wav2snd and every time I drag a wav file onto the icon it says "not proper wav file" Any ideas?

is there a sound-difference when i go from pc->mpc instead of sampling with the mpc?

yup, but it's minor.

It only supports 16bit PCM mono or stereo WAV files.

just barely. It may be the sample gain structure I'm hearing, but I rarely clip my samples.

Well sort of. Cool Edit does not read the header data of the MPC SND format and includes it in the data section so the beginning of the sample data is actually corrupted in CEP. I have verified this myself.

CEP is actually expecting SND files to be Next/Sun format which is a different type of SND file.
