i do one a day, mixing and sequencing and all of that jazz

the most ive made in a day was 3. For some reason, I dont like speeding through tracks, I record and re-record sequences like 50 times over

I think its cool if a person can make 10 beats a day but I'm not in it to out make beats a day anotther person. I make about 3to 5 a day. 5 on a good day. My concern is more about how many tracks are really usable. At one poibnt I was making about 7 or 10 beats a day and out of the 7 or 10 about 2 or three was good and most of the tracks sounded a lot like more. Now that I try to stick with 2 to 3 beats a day after the first beat made I'm more focuse on doing the next beat a little bit different than the last. I just started making alot of beats that would sound the same when I was forcing my self to make 7 to 10 beats a day. Plus beat block was higher cause I wasn't giving my mind the time it needed to process the vibes my life would set for me. I say the vibe cause my music is more a reflection of myself. To those that are putting up them numbers and it works for you good. I'm getting into making a track and just taking it to the next level once I get to mix and master it down with effects. How can you really have time to do that when you make so many beats a day. Do yall, if ya like it, I love

on a good day, i'll make about 4. it all depends on what im feeling. the most ive ever gotten up to was 7...i stayed up all day and night--i had a giant burst of inspiration.

it also depends on the samples i find within a day. if im loafin around listenin to music, and hear something i MUST sample, then i do it...then and there.

Word to Young_keyz . I used to try to make mad beats every day but when I'd listen to 'em the next day , the 1st couple were always cool but the ones near the end started to sound like reflections of the 1st couple good ones . So now I just try to chill in between beats and if I am gonna do a bunch in a row I've gotta switch up everything in between them (sounds, samples, tempo, etc . . .) .

1. When I make them fast I usually end up trashing more than half.

I do less than one. I only make beats when I feel inspired like when I find myself singing.

`i average about 2 a day with them both being keepers 98% of the time. i used to average maybe 3 but now ive been trying to make 3-4 variations for verses, breaks, etc.

That's what I'm sayin... Not knockin people who do put out big numbers per day.. I mean do you... Sh*t Madlib knocks out beats like that and look at him, but let's be honest most of the people droppin beats like that are dropping 7-10 beats with 1 or 2 keepers and the restr being mediocre... Between work and school and having a life I don't have a ton of time for beats like I used to, but I can say honestly that I make a few nice tracks a week... 2-5 tracks in a week that I can listen to months from now and still think they're hot.... That's me though... I mean I like to do what I'm feelin and what inspires me... If you can drop fire like that then do you...

As far as my highest in a day.... It was probably 6, but only one was a keeper... I stayed up all night as well... It was more of a learning experience... Just stayed up experimenting with different techniques and effects and got some crazy results... I learned something so I guess it wasn't a waste...
