Saving samples on the MPC 2000XL itself

Hello I am a MPC 3000 user and just recently got a MPC 2000XL and I want to know is there anyway to save samples on the MPC itself without geting the flash Rom?

save samples to a zip disk

Your XL doesn't have a floppy or zip drive built-in? If not you could look at installing any internal or external drive you want.

The Zip doesnt work, I do have a CD drive but it wont save to it for some reason.

get a new zip. there $30 on ebay. or use floppy.
u save an .all file and a .aps file
2 files per beat. the .all is sequncing data the .aps is all the program and sounds data.
