Smart and Friendly CD-R 8020 internal Cd-rom drive w/ APS Tech CD-690 external SCSI case.
I just got my SCSi cable in the post 2 hours ago and everything ops checks good!!!
The SaF drive I've had for awhile and the APS case I got from a bloke I work with for a 12 pack of Budweiser (gross!).
The APS case has a built in electronic terminator (DaTerm=Digital Active Termination) and is dual voltage. Inside there was 2 connectors with 3 wires on each plug coming from the SCSI ID selector on the rear. I didn't hook these up to the cd drive because I didn't know exactly how (both companies are out of business so no info on both). Fortunately, my MPC identified the drive as SCSI 4 and as SaF CD-R 8020 on the format screen. So... all is well!
