how do you get your Snare to sound like Ashanti's only U???

HOT SONG -- just wondering, what are they doing to make a snare sound like that, because if you listen to it.. the snare on its own by itself sounds plain & bland as can be
so what are they doing to it to make it such a dope azz snare drum
if any of you guys feel like droppin some much useful knowledge appreciate it

I don't know personally but I have that same snare in some drums i purchased....But hey if you wanna snatch it up just sample it......!

That's what i call a bangin' clap.
Sometimes are simply normal clap pitched down. You can obtain this sound especially if you have some live clappin recorded. Pump up the treble and that's it.

Sorry,i didn't know that was a clap.They play it so much here that everytime it comes on i change the station.

its actualy a snare layered wit a clap 2 get that effect!

try pitching a clap down to about -6 or summin and try pitchin up a snare to about +4 or 6, or woteva u think bangs! either the clap or the snare will usually be delayed by about a couple of miliseconds to get that 'ccrrrriiiick' or 'crack' type sound, so mess about wit delay or timming on woteva gear your using! and also try adding compression aswell, so it bangs instantly and jus snaps! as wit anything, jus experiement until u think youve summin that sounds gd.
