sup!!!
Our beats are lacking really good bass sounds. I want to know where i can find bass that is rich and nice. Been using the fingered bass on my keyboard for a couple tracks but not enough for songs that need a different type of bass sound. I heard that the korg ms2000 is really good? Never tried it... Tell me your opinions...thanks....

For general midi, like in your keyboard, a synth bass sound filtered down a little, with "slap bass" over the accents can be really punchy. Before I go further, would you rather tweak your existing samples, or use particular synth patches from a keyboard, etc? Likewise, what kind of bass do you want? Realistic acoustic and elec. bass sounds, or 909 type bass, that's more supportive than melodic. Pretty much any modern synth can give you good bass sounds, but you got to know how to twak it to give you the varied types. Some, like the Novation Bass Statioen are suited to just that. Others, like the Triton, you really gotta play with to get anything but the standard stuff. The Kork ms2000 is hot for really deep bass sounds, but you have to know what you are doing. It does have alot of sliders and stuff to edit your sounds. What I do is go to Sam Ash, play with the stuff, figure what I want, then go buy it on Ebay or somewhere cheaper. Keep in mind when you buy used you don't get a warrantee. Good luck

The Bass sounds on the MPC Tutor's very first sample collection were phat. Electric Bass sounds. You should check them out. Download the demo. It's cheap too.

Peace.
