changing sample pitch

I want to change the sample pitch on one of my sequences.

situtation:

I have sequence 1 and I copied it to seq #2. I want seq #1 to remain the same, but I want seq#2 to pitch up using the tune function under "shift program" option.

When I pitch up seq #2, seq #1 also pitches up.

Question:

Can this be done?

Do I have to setup a new program?

Do a small edit (shift + trim) to the sample u want to pitch change, (maybe at the very begining, or end of the sample).

Then highlight the rest of the sample, & save whats highlighted as a new sound. RENAME IT, so u can identify it easy.

NOW U GOT THE SAME SAMPLE TWICE, ONE JUST HAS A DIFFERENT NAME.

U should know what to do from here.....





P.S. That's how I do it, there might be an easier way tho.

If so, SOMEONE HOLLA BACK, cuz I would like to know what it is.

make a copy of the sample....then pitch change the copy, and the original wont be affected.

GO TO SHIFT TRIM

OPEN WINDOW

COPY

DO IT

and you made a copy of the original sample. Truncate/chop/pitch shift at will, and it wont affect the original sample at all.
