Question one: i dont know
Question two: my Mac can read MPC disc's. i run OSX an format the disc's on the MPC. do you use 2 dif ZIP DRIVES (one for the Mac an an other for the MPC)? well, i do this. i have a 100ZIP on my Mac, and a 250ZIP on my MPC. so if i want to transfer files to my Mac i have to use 100ZIP discs, because a 100ZIP doesnt read 250 discs.
Question three: nope, you can load files into the MPC, but as far as i know, you cant burn files with the MPC.

hope it helped

Well It sorta helps
Here is my next question
How many APS Kits and ALL song files
should you save on one zip disc?

this really sucks cause i have like 10 or more
good beats with snds and stuff all on this one
disc
Only one beat is not working
I deleted two APS files by accident
and im trying to remember where i placed all
the sounds on the pads so the sequences work right
any tips for that?

Anyways
now im manually beat by beat loading them onto my MPC
And transfering them to a new zip disc
I have a Mac g4 runing OS 9
I do not have a scsi port on my g4
i do have a built in zip
but like i said when i put the MPC zip in the drive
it wants to reformat it
how do i back up zips?
Please give me the dummies way

So i am doomed to saving on Zip and Floppy
Is there a brand of zip disc that does not do this error thing?
is says SCSI Read error by the way
is that fixable?

Annoying

well, i believe you need to recreate the APG files you deleted. do you have the XL model? then you could save each song in a different folder.
the regular 2000 cant read folders.

as far as you mac problem: i suggest you upgrade to OS X, in the long run it will help you. search the internet for 'MPC PGM maker', its a program to create MPC PGM's that runs on mac. maybe there site has some info about OS9.

You can't make folders on the 2K but,you can partion the drive.I found it helps alot when you partion so everything is kind of in it's own "folder" which makes it easier to access and naavigate.
