You shold have gotten the AKAI sample CD-rom with it. As for a floppy... you better start downloading some samples off the internet or recording your own samples and save them to floppy disk for use.

You might as well check to see if you have the latest OS too.
I think it's OS V1.14.
You know, you don't need a sample disk with the XL. You can just take some WAV sounds from the computer and load them into the XL.
