Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

looking to buy an mpc for the first time..what mainly cant i do with the 2k that i can with the 4?if im investing in this is it just wise to get the 4k or are they just different??also if itd the 4k..is the white early version a lot less advanced than the new bluer'version?(as imma try pick one up second hand.thanks!

blue and white ones are the same. just another color.

I didnt had a 2000 so I cant compare. But for your first MPC, you might wanna try sumting more cheap. Like an MPC1000, 2000 (XL) or the legendary MPC60.
Also look into the MV8000, it has a more advanced sequencer then mPC´s, but its a bit pricy too off course :P

I think your best bet would be the MPC1000

Searchj the internet to find the differences between the 2000 and 4000. The specs dont lie ;)

Tho I think that the MPC4000 sounds the best of all MPC-like machines. It has a very rich sound. 4000 has the fullest sound I had here in my studio. All my soundcards´ DA´s and AD´s are nothing compared to the ones on the MPC4000 :o (S5000 was rich and full too, MPC60 was more crunchy and lo-fi... very nice)
