A Bunch of beginner questions

I apologize if this question is retarded but I just got my MPC1000 today....

I got a 32mb card with the MPC like I'm sure everyone else did...however when I go to sample something the MPC will only give me 10 seconds of sampling time and says that my memory is 16 mb...what do I do?

when u use the mpc to sample your using the internal memory not the memory card and the internal memory is only 16mb .... if you want more saple time upgrade ur internal memory and also sample in mono
