BUT I think busta rocked that beat....

IVe been realizing lately that alot of all these hot tracks comming out, are partially due to the fact that the emcee and track match perfectly....the way they flow, and shit-its like they are using thier rhymes as melodies and countermelodies; its not just a basic flow over a track. I think thats where 50 cent, eminem, and busta get credit............i mean, they just dont rock a 16, and drop some chick on the chorus...............they got a little bit of melody and similar rhythm in thier verses, and chorus's that follow the beat. Kind of like combining a rhythm and melodie in one....using thier raps more like an instrument.

Thats also why i luv dr.dre i mean, you can hum the melodies to all his tracks...........he gets 50, and eminem do just write lyrics that follow the melody. The words just make sense over the beat.....even if the beat is mad simple, or not even that good.

Plus combine that with dre's engineering, even though the beats are simple, they knock hard so you feel them, they are rich in sound quality.

i dont know, but i think thats the most common denominator to good emcees, and good tracks in general. Using your raps more like a melody to accent and compliment the beat, and good engineering.

i think u reading into their sh!t too deeply cyrus. 50 got sum sh!t vocals man. his choruses are offkey and sound stupid. dre only comes withvda beats man, most people dat ride his beats r sh!t in my opinion.

I mean, i agree with you, in that i dont like the actual content of the lyrics. They are tryin too hard to be ganster, and its not real to me.

But i do think even though hes got shit lyrics, hes still got skill. He adds more harmoney to his flow...i mean, not all the time, but he can change it up. Ever listen to 50s murder mixtape.

I think thats his best stuff. But he holds is own on the entire mixtape, and you dont get tired of listening.......even if the lyrics arent intellectuall.

I dont think neccesarily you could sya the same for some artists. I mean, I always look at it like-some emcees could easily be swapped for someone else with a similar voice. They just put down 16 bars. Ive got friends who can just put down 16 bars like anybody, else. But making a song with melody, and change ups is a differant story.

yeah what ur recognizing is true imo cy. but it all depends on the mcs style and whether or not they can harmonize. we (the Shanks) do the same thing alot in our rhymes. its usually just a matter of how the mc rides the beat. some mcs are just spitters while others might have grown up wit a lot of soul and therefore that influences they're delivery.make sense?.

and while 50's subject content can def get old at times he is very far from wack. he can write a mean hook too. thats really where that sing song style comes into play...on the hooks

Hmm, I like that Busta track, it rocks! Bus a bus is one of the best rap performers of all the time, the beat got the bounce nevertheless.

I like that Dre-Busta style just like on the Genesis album, very good combinaison... But that Lean back shit is no that spectacular to me.

its funny how everybody dissed ja rule for singing and making club songs for the girls.... now look at candy shop (which is majic stick). you could replace ja rule in there and its the same thing. everyone jumped on the singing thing after nelly started singing his lyrics ... now you see Em, 50, Busta, and even Snoop doing the singing.. but now nelly is getting dissed....Chingy makes the same kind of records but its not cool to like him so.... I'm not made at it... just pointing out how all these guys are making the same kind of music.... but now they all want to diss each other... its stupid......
