Where to get samples?

Finally! Just got the MPC today and I'm lovin it. I didn't really like the stock sounds, where do you guys usally get your samples? like kicks, snares, hats, bass, etc. Are the sample CDs out there any good??

Vinyl, CD, DVD, TV, wav, mp3... whatever floats your boat.
MY mpc didn't come with any sounds my guess is you got yourself a MPC1K.

the more and more you work with it you'll start finding samples here and there. you can get them from sound modules, sample cd's, sampling records, etc.

MY mpc didn't come with any sounds my guess is you got yourself a MPC1K

My Mpc2kxl came with sounds, they sucked big time but they were nice for learning the ropes of different functions within the unit its self

yea mine came with a disk of sounds. i use the 2000

Whoa, sorry Capshun. Didn't know about the whole no links thing. yea I got a 1000, its great. My main focus was about the sample cds, just wanted to make sure that they're worth it. Just picked some up to find out myself. Thanks guys.

sorry tutor, but she asked where to get samples so i told her where, its ot my fault, im just telling her a good place to go

Nice Site Tutor. You should offer a downloadable demo sample pack so we can test the quality on our MPC. Some other site does that now right now I'm inclined to buy one of their packs because it's been working pretty well.

He you look well there's some free demo for download
on tutor's site.

Yeah I saw that but it's all in MP3 so I cant test it out on my MPC. I can't tell anything from a one second hit sound. It would be better if I could see how they sound in my tracks.

Convert to wav with a software or sample your pc with right cable.

Most packs have an MP3 song made form samples in the pack - but this is around a minute long - some also have an actual sample from the pack in WAV, this will be the one second hit.

Can't give too much away for free - with 50 odd packs, giving two or three samples fo free is like giving an whole pack for nothing...
