welcome back !, that's funny everybody on MVnation are selling their MV, and the MV fanatics are just freaking out !!!
anyway i had to return my MPC back to the shop because of memory problems, i feel like an orphan now.
So i'm just roaming here, reading pretty interesting post thanks to blue haze, feline, renegade, etc...without being able to do anything, very frustrating...

To be fair the MV is a good machine, and those guys are real cool over there but my 4000 was just better for me. I missed it alot. Im not selling it again.

I got rid of the MV a few weeks ago, and am borrowing a friends 4000...im definately buying a 4000 tho. The MV is a real ill machine. but i been an MPC man for over 8 years....theres no turning back now.

The MV liner seq was a little clucky..
What I mean is if your trying to dress up your drum machine seq as a computer with VGA and Mouse it should be fairly simple to do certin things like Bank Changes and Program chages. It was a pain in the ass for me to do thins on the MV, plus the 2 midi out and "MASTERNG" SECTION was a little weak to me.
Why not just have a real computer with real software like Cubase and a Multi midi with some waves mastering stuff?
The MV locks you into the box
Anybody who doughts this ask yourself why dont the MV save to SMF1?
Because it dont want you to import your ideas into other seqencer 's like cubase or protools.
Even the Fantom and MC909 save to SMF1(UNLESS VERSION 3 FIXED THIS)
The MPC dosn't try to be the jack of all trades. A PATTERN seqencer and sampler. With 4 midi outs it can be the center of many midi devices.
Plus its got years of experiecne on it from the MPC 60 to now the MPC is the same on any machine
If you can use the 4000 you can use a 60.
IMO the MV is a great box if thats what you want. It is a all in one unit no dought. No need for a computer with that machine.
I use a G5 Protools and Cubase to edit my seq from the 4000.

MV is cool and it has some def good points. You just have to play with it and see if its good for you.
