I have a DJ set up and a 2kXL. And what I want to do is record or transfer from both the turntables and the MPC into the computer and make them MP3's so I can edit and burn them. The programs I have available are Sound Forge, Cool Edit, and Fruity Loops.I do not know whether it goes from the rec out of the mixer to a USB or to a headphone jack on the computer or stright out of the MPC. or how I would go about recording and converting to MP3. I appriciate any help.

or you could go to a radio shack buy a connection that has two rcA jacks on one end (red and white of course) and on the other end it has a mic jack that can hook up to your audio card.
it should be about 8dollars.
this will transmitt the sound from your mixer to your computer, but i have no clue on how to do that with your mpc.

Yeah, you could do that too. I have that cable, but I only use it for converting my old tapes & vinyl 2 CD.

You can run it like that but you would have to hook the tables(mixer) to the mpc then from the mpc to the computer. The only setback would be if you wanna record from the tables you would pretty much have to record through the mpc to the computer.Unless you wanna use a Midiman.(or somethin')
