anybody got any tips on matchin up acapellas?

hey
i use acid for matching up acapellas to my beats,
i take the original song and get the bpm,
then use the beatmapping tool on the acapella and line it up accordingly.
but it always gets off beat like 7 measures in.
i mean it is the exact same tempo as the song it is from i just can't figure out what i am doing wrong. anybody got any ideas that have helped u out in the past?

Well you know since vocals are of human feel there not going to be quantized to the beat perfectly so you might want to add increments along side the tempo say the tempo is 75 then you migt have to make it 75.8 or 75.9 or what ever it calls for to get it as close to where it needs to be.

He's right didn't think about it that way a lot easier than I told you at first. SORRY!!!!!!!

the most acurate way that i have figued out is to:
import the song with vocals and the acapella into a sequencer.
use the tap function on a metronome to get the tempo.
use the track with vocals and cut off any silence that is before the track starts.
now zoom in very tight and make sure that u get the first few bars to line up.
now go to the end of the track and make sure that it is still in time. if it doesn't then u have chosen the wrong tempo. re-adjust the tempo setting accordingly.
once u have lined up the track then place the acapella track so that the vocal with the original are tight with it and u r now done.

the most this has ever taken me was 10 min. it usually takes between 3 and 5 min. it may sound like a lot of steps but it is super accurate. chopping up the vocal into smaller bits is quicker but if u need to do that then u have the wrong tempo, becasue before the chop the file eventual got out of sync

learn how to beatmatch using the turntable...don't make it hard on yourself and bother sampling it when you could scratch the accapella over the beat..
