What's Happeninhg?

How do midi up the FANTHOM and the XL? I have tried but I haven't been successful at all ! The Fanthom plays sounds from the XL.

I want to be able to use drums, efx, etc. from the MPC and then use keys from the FANTHOM.

Do I need a mixer or something?

I have midi cables also.

Can I have it where the MPC starts when I push play on the Fanthom?

I use both separately right now....makea beat on the XL and make a beat on the Fanthom.Now I want to make a beat using both.
Can anyone help!

you will need a mixer, and make sure that you get a good mixer so that it sounds good. And secondly what you are talking about you will need four different midi cable. The out of you mpc to the in of your fantom and the in of your fantom. When you record, you will have to set the part that says drum1-4 to midi and select you number the number that you will need can be found by looking at the back of the mpc and just seeing what you are plugged in either a or b. If plug in a you choose a and for b vice versa. The key to this is that each track is aligned with your fantom's 16 track that is why there are 16 a's and 16'bs.each track you record should by default correspond to the mpc's setting of 1a or 1b depandent upon what output you are plugged into.
