I can't figure out how to post my studio pic here, but check out my website for a quick picture of it and about me -----> MY BEDROOM SET-UP

Are you insinuating that having lots of gear is flashy? You seem like a humble guy from your other posts through out the forum, but that comment sounded a bit haterish... Your set-up is cool. I have the same set-up minus the tascam tape recorder and the exact brand of mixer (i have a gemini). I could only hope to get gear like these guys so that I can take my beats from my head to a mastered format. Would you recommend staying where I'm at. I make hip hop instrumentals. I wouldn't mind working with an MC. I sample sounds off records, make sequences and arrange all the different sequences in song mode to compliment each other. I just feel that incorporating internal sound modules and computer multitrack recording may be a good move to make in order to build on my love for this and go the professional route. You tell me. I'm curious to hear your insight.

how do you use the pads with the zip right on the side like that?

I'm glad Roland got it right and put the pads on the left.

lol..yeah.. i just noticed that too...
.
.
i make sure i have a clear space for pads... sometimes i would be "dance", clapping my hands, flippin' my hands as if i was a dj scratching...etc....

so i would've easily just accidently the zip.. if it was so close to my mpc pads like that...lol

some of the pictures are really crazy !!!!! ( by the way what's the point to have five monitors ?) .I'd like to know what kind of music mpc 3000 is into , he has some serious gear and i would be f"""in lost with all his stuffs .i mean i know how to use eveything but i wouldn't really manage all the power of such gear .i need to be limited in what i have to produce something .well it depends on what kind of music you're into .Anyways i don't have pictures of my studio back in france ( i'm travelling so it's mainly my mpc and an old laptop ) but i appreciate to see these pictures and i think it's a good way to define yourself !

some of you cats trip me out... with that sit down on a chair while tapping on the mpc pads...
.
.
how are you gonna dance; and shake... and bounce, and bob your head wildly, and shift left and right like a penguin, and move away quick and start punchin' the air when your in the mist bangin' some ill ass shit on the mpc WHILE SITTIN' DOWN?
.
.
sheesh...
.
.
makin' beats while standing is just ill... sittin' down could promote laziness and inaccurate velocity changes in your beats.....lol........
