Distortion causes constant whining

Distortion in 1 of the 4 FX slots causes a high pitched whine.. I ran a bass thru slot 3 (wich had distortion) and when the bass was played, a high pitched whine occured. To get rid of the whine, I removed the distortion from slot 3 and the whine was gone forever.
Its not an os 1.7 bug, I had this also in OS 1.51..

Did you report to Akai back then? If not, they will probably never
address it if they don't know it's happening.

Send them a Multi and Sequence that shows the problem, so that you can
help them reproduce it quicker. As that is always the first step.
And will help them fix it quicker, if they can reproduce it.

If you did send it in back then, resend it and let them know it's still happening. And provide an example if possible.

the FX busses are virtual, how on earth Akai could code one of them to distort is ahine?!

well im sure it happens sumtimes on mine..


Also, sumtimes when I play a sound with the 16 levels function on (with tuning), some pads produce also the same high pitched whine. But then just when I press a pad..

it isnt a digital overdrive or something cause its on all levels
