help not recording notes!!

right i am playing a seqence into my mpc via my midi keybord and my emu mo phatt but everytime i try and record it misses out certain parts of sum notes???

the only thing i can imagine is you have timing set to something low like 1/8 ?

record with note off at first, play it back too see if it sounds right if it does then leave it. if not then after record go to timing window then dial it to 16 or 32 depending on the timing it self and say ok. that should adjust it right place, experiment with swing as well to get a change in feel of play.
