When i sample i hear a lil bit of " white noise " i belive its called. What shoud i do ? i got my gain set 2 da center and da vol on low when i sample.
set your gain to zero. turn up the machine you're sampling from instead. only if the sound-to-be-sampled is too quiet or the vinyl itself is too noisy there won't be any help. well, maybe a denoiser.
the normal amount of white noise that occurs when you're sampling from analog sources can be filtered.
what has worked pretty good for me is to clean record and stylus, use a noise reducer that is able to take a sample of the noise u wanna get rid off. So u would sample ONLY the crackle and hiss (like before the music begins) and the apply that to sample u want to clean up.
someone also posted before about DINR noise reduction from digidesign for protools, not sure if its TDM though and costs about a G.
