There is a dedicated CPU in it. It's an Intel ARM processor, just like your Palm Pilot.

Didn't seem to have any issues saveing to zip or harddrive. I don't remember Akai indicating
that one could split a large file over 2 floppies. Was that a marketing announcement that I missed?

WTF does that mean??? School me bruh.....I don't own a 4000 and don't know anyone that does...I am asking specifically about the processing speed on the 4000 sound engine exclusively get it??!!!?????

 Relax... Be easy...Software vs hardware is a newbooty, oh I mean newbie topic plain and simple. Damn if the MPC line isn't obvious to you, I don't know what to say. I guess I have to talk to you like newbie. My man you can't even save right on your MPC 2000, no wonder ya talkin out the side of your mouth...If I were you I would be more worried about the SUMMING BUSS on Protools LE and saving my work on the 2000

man some cats just need to go to specific websites for the products they want info about! or the local dealer like I used to do before the net came out..drill the salesmen.the 4g is what it is.I love IT people are asking for all these features that does not exist in nothing except for what there comparing it to.when I'm looking to buy a motorcycle I'm not asking does it have fourwheel drive...when them crazy questions come up lets just refer them to akai.this forum should be used for the cats that got the 4g feeling it and want to share there discoveries, give tips & rock on! that being said I'm out!
