mpc 3000le vs mpc 2000xl

The mpc 2k xl vs. 3k is more of a feel issue. The swing or sound issue is gona make a difference if a song is hot. A 3k may have a better swing or a better lower end but with a 2k you can get all of this if you really know what your doing when you edit your samples. Somethings are given and some things are earn. Just learn to use your instruments.

About the discussion, i bought my 3000 three years ago, my main thing
was that i needed a hardware seq, using alot of xox boxes, an some
midi synths, things was not responding so well having a daw seq.
All i know is when hooking up my 3000, things just started to play so
well. This thing is musical!
When i adjust the swing a little bit, my 606 responds to that, and its far away in the line, going...midiout-midithru-dinout-dinin. It's amazing!
This was not a kick on 2000xl, maybe it would respond just as smooth.
But for me, that gig alot, the building quality make me believe that i can
expect the machine to play every time.

Ooops I didn't mean to say that the sound and swing is what gona make the song hot. I wanted to say that the 3k swing or little added lower end sound isn't gona make a song hot.

Get the MPC-3000 and be on with your music creating self.

.....Or save yourself the aggrevation and the re-financing of the home in order to afford a 3000 and get your ass a MPC60.....boom. plaing and simple.

I have had a 2000xl, then a 1000, and now a 3000 and I def have to say the 3000 is the best so far. I can live without track mute, and time stretch I do on the computer anyway. The OS just seems more human and natural. The sequencer is amazing and perfect. The 2000xl seemed like a copy of something that was designed well to begin with.

hey i got this photo of premier in the studio - i think he has a 2000 and the mpc60 sitting angled in front of him....i imagine he's like the sp1200 users who work standing up the entire time.....i would do the same if my backlight wasn't burnt out.....gotta get that thing fixed ASAP. Anyhow. Does anybody else have photos of the gods in the studio on their equipment? Any video footage of a producer in the studio? I have DEEP CRATES on DVD and that shit was kinda wack cus none of the interviews had examples or producers in action....just turntables spinning in the background (ie during the interview with Buckwild).....wack....i coulda made a better documentary on beatmakers than that shit.....anyhow.....hook us up.....THANKS!!!!! And yeah I got the video of NAS ILLMATIC behind the scenes.

No. I do not feel a need to justify my purchase by imagining a "star" using the same equipment I am. Funny this hero worship discussion only happens the MPC60/3000 forum. This really doesn't happen in the MPC2000 and MPC1000 forum. They are too busy *making* their equipment into a classic piece instead of following someone else's lead.

only a pompous prick would comment on such a request......first off - i was merely asking for a photo of my HEROES for the mere visual satisfaction of seeing them work on real shit not using a mockery piece like the 2000xl or 1000. But thanks for your input HOMEY!

And believe me....I be bringing the beats as raw and as as anybody else up in this forum and if you got superlative skills back it up 3000.

We garbage user of non pro mpc like the 1000 or the 2000, haven't got any time of mast..... our brain with the "who's got the best fattest sound question"
We work harder to make our beat sound dope with our non pro mpc...

there are pretty more hits out today in rnb and hip hop not made on mpc 3k and there is pretty much more hits coming from a 2k or 2k xl than a 3k. Just think about all the producers who don't use a 3k and is making billboard bangers and think about the ones who use a 3k and where they stand. None of that isn't my point. My point is your knowledge of your machine and the music you make is what makes the differences. What kills me is how 3k users live and die on thinking th 3k is what has made them good and to call the 2k garbage as if you can't make hot shit. The 3k vs 2k is only a feel issue. What you think makes the 3k better is only something you use to(like a placement of your seat when you drive). a average person who buys the music nor could the average 3k user with out knowiing of the producer point out songs done on a 3k or 2k or 4k 1k, maybe a 60. You just feel comfy with the rhythem or groove or db of sound the 3k produce but that's a fact of what will make you music better. All it is a reason you keep it or feel comfy with it.

and as for this being present more on the 60 / 3000 forum, I bet most people got the 2000 or XL because verybody uses it. Think about all those Kanye Clap and lil jon hats posts, whaty kind of MPC do you think them biters have sitting there while they ask that question? The 2000 gets bought a lot because of so many DJ's and such have them. You don't have to look far to find a 2000 user, shyt I bet lots of people got it cuz pete rock got one, even though his tracks kinda lost something after he switched and bfore he kept using both.

I am glad when people still use the 60 / 3000 despite that the overarching consumer mindset tells you to get the latest and greatest to defeat the terrorists!
