you guys use this much?

examples, ihave just been toying with it lately on kicks or snares to get a different feel. its pretty dope.

just seeing what kind of practical use other fools get out of it on the MPC2000

Yeah I use it all the time. Great function! Experiment with shifting your snares a little a head or behind the beat. Swing hats, and sometimes kicks. this is how i use it

I use swing. I swing my kick back a little, swing the snare back just a tad more, and pull my forward, to hit earlier.

most of the time, after I got a snare/kick/hat pattern I mute all the tracks but these and mess with the swing, timing correct etc. Swing is major important if you like the "boom bap" style of making beats and if you like to do Neptunes esque on again off again stuff its also really important.

Just a side note to all the noobs (well not them since I'm still a noober too, I aint been on dis ish as long as say, MPC3000, u get the idea) learn to use the edit funtion before you start messing with the cool sample/program stuff, just how I do it though, load up the demo sounds and plug away and listen to what time correct, swing and transposing notes do first.
