an all 60 beat - remix w/nice and smooth

Sorry, but that jawn is mad incohesive.....first off.....homey when you start a remix make sure you start off the beat and then drop the vocals in on QUE.....don't play the a capella first.....that's my 2 sense.....and another thing.....this beat is too gitty for them kats....

REMEMBER!!! Hiphop beats require filtering during each verse that way it allows room for the emcee to be heard....if you got all them pianos playing during their verses then they're going to be overpowered by the music and it just becomes unlistenable....try again but this time filter the pianos or muffle them during each emcees verse and you'll see what i'm saying.....it's classic steez.

I like the beat alot, but I think Drumatic is right about it not matching the rhymes, a bit to mellow for those cats I think.

I never do vocal remixes so I can't comment on his other comments, but you could use the 303 as a filter on the stereo outs of the 60, or better yet, use it on the echo send / return. I can explain it better on the phone.

I still liked it.

I dont think the track go with the group's style in the acapella either.

Ok, I had one more listen, and I think it's genius. Think about it, rather than try to keep a hard beat to the ac, he goes smooth, taking a total different direction than the OG.

The ac is kinda sloppy at times (less beer, more blunts ) and I think I would have prefered you cut up Guru's part and brought something up to get it a little less laid back, then back down maybe with a slight change to the beat to make it stand out a bit and bring in the ending rhymes, or just cut them off, cutting up Guru could stretch out enough to end the tune.

It sounds like a live DJ trying something at like 4:30 AM, get you winding down a bit. Real nice. So the added bits I am talking about kinda bring out that live aspect a bit more.

yo, I was playing around on the w30 and microkorg and I did a beat, but its very different from what I do, my brother said it sounded very "casio like." So, I dunno, I'll post it here under the radar as opposed to making a thread on it. Here it is, it may be wack but f*ck it, I recorded it so here it is. All the sounds are from the w30 presets which are not that great, and the microkorg here and there. Anyway, here it is. And as wack as this beat may be, I must say that it was fun, I had a great time doing it.

It's a dope beat, no doubt about that. It doesn't belong w/ those vocals, plus the vocals are not hitting the right beats, but that's already been addressed. It would make a dope R&B song as is. For a rap track, filter some most of it and let only some violins and those "ooooh"s come through all the way. Again, dope track.

sorry mate. That dosn't work, the vocals are out of time a lot of the track.
And no one can remix a premier track and make it sound anywere near as the original.
That beat needs fixin up a bit, and a completley different mc on it.
Chop the samples more, and add more change ups and variation..
