I have instalelled the drive with no problems. I can read and browse through all of the directories on the smartmedia card.. When I goto save.. It keeps saying "Disk Write Error" At First it said "Write Protection" But then I upgraded the OS to the latest version and now it says "Disk Write Error".. I've tried on 2 smart media cards.. Is there a special card brand that i have to use? Anyone had this problem?

I used the synchrtech reader that was discussed in an previous posts and have had no problems. My cf card was formatted fat16 on pc and my 2kxl was fine with that card.

Check the load/format screen and let us know what firmware the PCD is. Should be something like 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2.
3.0 is read only. I use 3.1 and I am not sure what 3.2 is. I suspect 3.2 was to fix bugs under XP.
