Oh ... "The old 100 megabyte cart in a 250meg drive" scenario.

I have a vague memory that this has been talked about before.

Apparently there are problems with low level formatting a 100 meg cart in a 250 meg SCSI zip drive.

Try this:

Boot your MPC3000 from an OS 3.14 floppy.

Go to the <Fast> format option within the SCSI disk format screen, select same all may be well.

Let us know.

Do you even use Zip Disk??

Do I ???

Yes...

External ZIP SCSI drives are the types connected on my machine.

All of them are the 100 meg variety.

I keep the floppy active for all the obvious reasons.

Booting of OS types for test modes.

Booting of OS types for other reasons.

Loading of commercial lib stuff that is often only available on floppy.

Cool ?

Rohan.
