Holla everyone;I got this issue:my mpc was able to manage my nor rack and my mophatt(without receiving midi from mophatt cause no more mpc in!) without my pro tools so i could do music in a more friendly way;but then i got the triton so i bought a merger to send the clock from mpc to triton(using triton sequencer for its own sounds)(by the way this one is more sophisticated but far less intuitve than our good ol' mpc)So it worked almost well even if sometimes got issues(like nord sound changing with no apparent reason) Now i expect 2 purchase a micro korg(by the way tell me what you think about this one)maybe i could sequence it from triton but i wonder if i could become a lil bit messy! So do you guys think a midi patch bay would be nice, would it be necessary to work with additional sequencer(protools),or maybe some midi mergers(messy?)I'm waiting 4 your advice guyz;till then thanks a lot for any reply, peace

you will probably need one of those midiman midi expander things, i can't think of what they are called , but i have one just not near it right now. they are handy when you have lots of midi gear.
"(using triton sequencer for its own sounds) "

why would you do that if the mpc can control the triton? You only need to use the mpc sequencer, unless you are using all 32 external midi channels.

You don't need to use the midi ins from them mophatt or the nord unless you are doing sysex dumps.

I would suggest the midi man with the 3in/8 out ports for you cause it seems like you have a lot to work with. You are trying to control four instruments, and this will allow you to use Protools also if you need to. You can also so what Dr. Foo said and run 2 midi chains , one of each midi output and put two on each. Or get a mpc 3000 it has 4 midi outs . Holla
