midi buffer full

I am doin somethin wrong with midi. my mpc is triggering my synth sounds. THe synth sounds are sequenced by the mpc. so i have midi out to midi in and nidi in to nidi out between mpc and synth. I want to record midi into my cubasis (tried importing mpc midi files but didnt seem to show up) so i have midi out into midi in and midi in to midi out between soundcard and mpc. On each track in the midi part at the bottom of the MAIN page on the mpc I HAVE
out 1: out a ch 1 (to synth)
out 2: out b ch 1 (to souncard)
THis is done for each channell

When i press play on th mpc all hell breaks loose. Sounds like sounds are being bounced back and forthe and there is a cacophany of noise( not in a good way).
Does anyone know what i mite be doin wrong.

WHhat OS are you runing, I had that problem way back with 1.50

so do i have the midi configured right. THinkin maybe i had to hit MIDI button and change sumthin there or it could be somethin in cubasis.sounds like the machine is about to explode which isnt a nice thought

update to 1.70 or 1.65
That will fix your problem.

os 1.65 or 1.7. Any obvious pros/cons for either.
1.6 got a bit of debate. Can i assume 1.65 and 1.7 are fine.

Im on 1.70 no problems. 1.65 is very good too. BUt 1,51 was a nightmare, we beta tested that one for a while before they got that one right, I would hope off that one quick!

I think technology is out to get me anyway so i wouldnt have thought anything of it. Thanks for that.

this is a newbie question but thought id continue with this thread. i did the os thing fine . Computer tells me its complete and to reboot mpc. But I thought there was some small thing to look out for before you turn the mpc off, from when i did the 1.51 update. Cant remember what it was. Probably nothing. like some settin on the mpc or somethin, ah probably talkin throught my hole.

finished it off. yep. fine. talkin through me hole

actually bugger. updating the os didnt solve my problem im afraid.

isn't one of the internal outs meant to send midi data to the mpc internally? I would just use a thru box to send the midi to your computer and your synths, it would make sense if the midi is being sent internally, all hell would break loose.

In the end i needed to turn the midi thru off on the computer.
Either that or connect out on computer to in on Synthesizer and turn midi thru on.
