Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I don't know how much cats have messed around with the outputs on the 2000, but I noticed way back when I used the 8-outputs on my mixing board, that the quality of the expansion board was better than the main outs that come standard. It seems there is a little bit or air or hiss that come from the main outs, whereas the bonus outs are real clean and noise-free. This is one of my knocks on the 2000 series. Shoulda cost more and came with the 8-outs standard....anyway...anybody notice a quality difference?????

you get alot more bandwidth than trying to squeeeze your whole mix out of the stereo outs. you get more complex bussing options, use of external effects on individual sounds and dont forget your mixers circuitry and eq's will add some colour to the sounds also. go the 8 outs. you wont regret it.

"Shoulda cost more and came with the 8-outs standard."

Why should I have to pay for the expansion when I do not use or need them? Isn't that one of the single greatest benefits of an "expandable" MPC2000 model?

I do not use the individual outs in the MPC3000, but I "had" to pay for them anyway. Waste of my money?

I asked if anyone noticed AS I ALREADY DID that the 8-outs sounded SONICALLY BETTER than the stock main outs. I was lookin to see if this was confirmed, or if it varied from machine to machine---for example would a pro or studio version sound better because it came with the outs as opposed to having them installed later on a stock model. We need more fedearl money in education obviously..cats ability to get context out of a question or comment seems to be absent on these boards. Just playin really--- ain't tryin to clown, but I haven't got many comprehensive answers or information from this forum yet.

you apparently can't find the "edit" button either, which allows you to go back and edit a previous post.

Cats got info on editing posts but none available on the topic at hand, which at that this forum is based on in the first place. I don't think the type of comprehensive analysis I was looking forward to is available on this forum period.

I AM TALKING ABOUT THE QUALITY DIFFERENCE OF OUTPUTS ON THE MPC2000. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE MAIN OUTS THAT COME STOCK HAVE A BIT OF HISS TO THEM, WHILE THE EXPANSION BOARD SOUNDS REALLY CLEAN AND QUIET. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS OR SHALL WE ARGUE ABOUT SWING, 3000 VS. 4000, ETC?

sounds like yours is faulty, dog.

I never heard a hiss in my stereo outs before I installed the 8 outs, and I still dont hear a hiss in the stereo outs now that I have the 8 outs.

Sounds like you installed it wrong, or got a faulty board, or some kind of electronic thingamabob in your mpc got knocked loose or is busted.

There. happy?

Well, I can't seen to find decent *questions* to answer. You could have make a simple query if anyone noticed a difference, but you had to go into some non-related rant into the business decision of the very company that managed to manufacture the very piece you bought.

As far we are concerned you opened yourself to comments about anything you stated in your question. Come to think of it. how are we supposed to read your mind as to what section of your post we are supposed to answer and which part of it we are supposed to "ignore".

" Imma have to tell my peeps about this comedy!"

Yuck, you would actually admit to *real* people that you go hang out at a web bulletin board? My friends don't even know I have a computer.
