Shalom,

I went to my home boys crib to drop a track down in his system. He has Windows 98SE, Audiology 1 with Midi interface and Cubasis 4.0 for dumping midi tracks in.

Anyway I set my Proteus and MPC 2000 up as it's supposed to. Proteus Out to MPC In. Load my tracks, and then connect Cubasis Midi Out to MPC In. I had set my Midi/Sync in my MPC to (In:2) and Midi Clock, etc....

In Cubasis I had set the track to Midi, told the properties to send Midi clock, etc...

So I tried to record in and nothing. Bugged out? Because I double checked all my papers, manuals, etc.... In Cubasis properties on the left side of the screen I was able to tweek with the Program, Bank etc and noticed Cubasis was changing my presets on the Proteus, but nothing was playing from the MPC when I had play in Cubasis????

Beats the hell out of me? Anyone with any good advice, knowledge in this area let me know.

Sounds to me like a problem with the audio. If you can control the MP and Proteus with the software, it seems to me that your midi connection is tight.

Was your MPC reciveing the clock? Did it start playing when you hit record on Cubase? Where you trying to record audio or midi?

Naw dawg, my MPC was at a stand still. When I had hit play on Cubasis nothnig was syncing from the MPC 2000?? As I said I got my Proteus 2000 sync with my MPC. Proteus A Port OUT to MPC IN. Got all my Midi sounds set to Midi and their required midi channels on the MPC with the tracks.

So thats peace. But when I had sent Cubasis OUT to MPC IN, and then had hit Midi/Snyc set up, and had set the Midi sync from there. I went in Cubasis and had set the joint to send for Midi. And when I had did this I noticed that Cubasis was messing with my Proteus 2000 preset settings?????????

I was like what the hell? It's supposed to configure with the Akai, not the Proteus.

So I'm pretty much dumb found on this junk right here. I aint really mess with Cubasis before so that's all new to me. But if you got any knowledge to drop, spit ya jewels and let me know the science duke.

Hey Lord Metatron,

Is that the same Animal Thug who tried out for 8 mile, in the extra scenes where they had all the MCs try out for a spot in the movie?
