anyone thought about painting it with a sort of translucent (see-through) paint so that you can still see the labelling? not sure how it would go with the beige underneath, but i'm thinking translucent green would look pretty nice.
then again, it'd look like it was covered with snot...

Not gonna work bro.If it's translucent then you would stilll be able to see the original color underneath.If you do decide to give it a shot put up pics.I would love to see that.

What do you guys think about $150 to 200 bucs for a faceplate. is it reasonable for a customize color painted faceplate , if enough of you guys are serious about purchasing
your on personal faceplate. I'm ready to have some fab.or would you rather sandblast your original and repaint. if all above is cool, then give me
four basic or cool,(popular)colors, the plate will be designed custom style.
you can take your faceplate to a print shop ,and have them make a film to
screen for the labeling part, to print the same label back on after you paint your faceplate your self. that's it on the info.
Again if I can get enough potential buyer's ,then I'm ready to process getting faceplates done,so you guys can interchange faceplate like nokia's\
