What a heartbreaker (throws beat in the garbage)

Fam there's no such thing as "stole my sample". Unless you played a sequence yourself and where jacked. It's called SAMPLING for a reason. Plus thats part of the game. Whoever comes out with an arrangement first really doesn't matter, as long as it's hot! Keep EVERY beat you make, NEVER throw it out because SOMEONE will like it.

look man. As long as you didnt look up credits on an album, then ganked the sample............its yours.

As long as you feel 100% that you flipped your way, with no clue onto what other people are doing, then you obviously are doing a good thing. You picked a hot sample like top beat makers did. Thats sort of like a flattering thing.

what you should get mad at, is WTheF dont you get your shit out first!

hustle your shit, make sure people know who it is, and that they cant claim youre a biter.

don't trash that track! keep it, you can use that when you are shopping your beats. you'll be surprise that people won't reconize what you used unless you are a beat head. don't get mad, it happens. i have crates of records that i think had junk on those records, and when i hear a fat loop or a sample, i stumble across that crate and find that record, create a song, then a few days later, i hear the same sample or the simular idea that i wanted to do. i get pissed but i don't let it get to me because i feel that i am on the right track and keep building from there. all that does for me is build my confidence up to keep on pushing.

that shit has happened to me like 4 times already.....i sit on to many ill samps...

That sh** happened to me in like 93 or 94 with a track I made. A local well-known crew (I stay in the SF Bay Area) - I won't name names, but they had access to my idea and/or wax via a lame clown, and then it turned up on one of their albums. The similarities and drum selection was too much, they might have even scooped up my sh** off a tape version. Imma get em back, one day I'll do a mixtape track called 'They got it from me' and expose the nonsense. Til then, like my boy said, 'At least you know you got good ideas'.........

Yeah you're right! I was the one who started this thread and I never knew this had happened to so many others...the reason that I posted is to blow off steam to yall, because when I tried to gripe to my friends here they look at me like :? since they don't know the first thing about producing
