THIS IS A MIGHT BE A SILLY QUESTION BUT CAN A CORRUPTED ZIP DISK BE RESTORED?

You could try to restore the data with norton discdoctor or another Datarescue/ restorepgm on your PC/MAC.
It`s the only thing I know.
Take your zip and try to read it from your computer, if you have a Zip in there. Copy the data from the corupt disk to your HD, then back to a new formated Zip.

This is the worst thing you can do for your MPC formatted disk. Only do this if you want to be sure that you will never get your data back. Norton has no clue as to the proprietary MPC format (they only know standard computer formats).

This is the second worse thing to do to a damaged disk. Again, PC's don't exactly know how to read a MPC formatted disk and can wreak havoc on the file system.
I perform data recovery for all Akai formats, including MPC's. I work cheap and give free estimates. I typically charge less for data recovery than these `data recovery houses` charge just to look a disk.

WELL, COULD YOU GIVE ME A FREE ESTIMATE, THE DATA ON THESE ZIPS ARE PRETTY OLD, LIKE 2 YEARS WHEN I JUST STARTED MAKING BEATS, THE BEATS ARE HORRIFIC , I'M JUST INTRESTED HOW THEY SOUND. IT'S BEEN A LONGTIME. BUT IF YOU'RE REASONABLE, I WOULD GLADLY PAY. THANKS ALOT.
