Cool edit is the shit for looping & choping your beatz....I use cooledit to loop my beatz & then rec. it into the MPC....So I never have to chop up my beatz on the MP....

"what do u use for batch conversion?"

What type of batch conversion do you need to do. Some do things that others do not, some are expensive some are free. None do it all, including CEP.

I can't understand the Hype on CEP around here.

^ I just use it because it's so completely simple, and I'm used to it. It's really all I need software wise.. works perfectly for me but I know it's not close to being the best or most powerful program out there.

"can't understand the Hype on CEP around here"

Easy to learn.
Lightweight and runs on old systems.
Doesn't crash.
Fast.

CEP was designed for audio from the beginning. Cakewalk, Cubase and Logic products were originally sequencer packages and have only recently added audio. They never got the sequencers to work as well as an MPC, so can you trust them to do audio (which is not their native tongue).

Eloquently verbalized there MPC3k. My sentiments exactly.
