Ok since you are my MPC fam I will tell you because thats my home town. before I joined the navy. There is a record store on east prospect, and if you are in a cab askt them to take you to the prospect mall theahter. There are 2 record stores in there, One is only open on the weekends, but it has the bigger selection, and the other is open all the time. Thats the only one I will tell you about, but that should get you started

very good spots on the east side

On Farwell & prospect avenue there are 3 record shops on one block.......and another in riverwest.........then this really cooky one in the brady area.

The one i go to, mostly, is more like a "used bookstore with lots of records". I live like 2 blocks away so i can just stroll down there grab a record....fun afternoon trip. They got 3 dollar jazz records, 3 for $.97 classical. Just lots of shit, that has not been cleaned for jems........but nothing expensive either.

Right accross the hallway of that store is another (it might be same owners) but they have all the priced vinyl, and rarer shit, but there prices are good and if you buy alot, you can ask for a discount, usually they just round down anyways. THey seem to have a good soundtrack section and jazz section. I always thought that the $4 under stuff they sent accross the hallway

THen on the otherside of the block is "farwell music" not so good, i mean, i like going there, but some of thier shit is overpriced you just gotta be ontop of whats a good price for something. Not so fun to dig there unless you are gonna spend 4 bucks or more on vinyl. The dollar bins arent bad, but id rather search the records on the otherside of the block if im hitting dollar bins and on a low budget. You can easily drop $$$ there, and hes always getting new shit. Lot of burn outs seem to go in there.

Then accros the street from that is this place called "moxy" theres a small shop inside with some current techno stuff, sometimes some underground hiphop.

Stay away from atomic records, they are overpriced and dont carry random stuff, however sometimes they have vinyl on the side walk for $1 but for some reason i think they try to pawn thier valueble stuff to the other shops around, and are stuck with crap or really expensive stuff the other shops already have.

I rarely run into other diggers, but ive seen a couple. I always look at what they got! ha and sometimes you find piles of records on the floor or under the shelves like someone was diggin but decided to set them aside for later..........

bbhunt we should collab or something.
