yeah you can try only using the sample as the hook and have somthing else in the verses but with the same bass pattern as the hook. Also put in some high pitched notes in now and then to change it up. Thats what i do when i find just a short hot sample

I've been thinking about this post alot, lately. You know, I go through the same thing when listening to my loops, even 4bar loops. However, I consciously tell myself, "hiphop is a repetitive musical artform and I've been listening to Soul, Jazz, rock, Classical, ect... for the past 4 hours, so chill. Shit isn't that serious. I think that's what seperate pro from amatuers. They know when enoughs, enough. Alchemist is the perfect example, in this case. The vast majority of his beat 2 to 4 bars max with a long ass intros.Remember, the mc is just as important as the music. Alchemist produces for alot of so-so mcs, and his beat don't sound repetitive so imagine someone like pharoah monch ryhming over it whenever this happens. P.S. This message was as much for me as it was for you, I've got a one bar piano loop loaded now.One
