Diggin spots in Philly

I'll blow up a few of mine if u people got em...

I'll kick it off...

AKA Music - 2nd and Market.... Got soem godd stuff... Pricey so you should definitely bring a portable... They have some godd rock vinyl, but also have a collection of some rare jazz...

Philadelphia Record Exchange - 5th and South.... Here again good selection.... Everythings organized so it's good if you're lookin for a specific artist... They pretty much have everything (as far as genre), but I think their best selection is downstairs with the trippy rock and Classical vinyl... Definitely a place for a portable caus ehere again price is an issue... Although even if you don't have one they can play whatever you want at the front on their turntable...

First Unitarian Church - 22nd and Chestnut... The second Saturday of every month you go around the back and in the basement (where they also have a lot of shows) they have a record convention thingy... 3 dollars cover charge... Really out there sh*t.... Like Indian and German vinyl and some Buddy Rich Drum Battle records... The really rare sh*t is somewhat expensive, but won't break the bank which is probably why it's only once a month... 10AM - 4PM... They allow protables so here again this is another place where it's a definite must...

I also got some places in South Jersey... My dollar vinyl spots are mainly in South Jersey... I know some dollar vinyl spots in Philly bnut most of them are sh*t... Part of the reason I like the places above is that even though they can be pricey everything is in top notch condition... Especially Philadelphia Record Exchange...

What up with Armand's Matt? Gotta put them down. First Unitarian Church is a Philly gem (Imports are the way to go) Philadelphia Record Exchange (too pricey, but the best selection)

I never was really feelin Armand's.... I mean Cue is my spot for hip-hop and Cue's even got some classsic vinyl, but an odd selection and even odder prices (things that should be expensive are cheap and vice versa)... There's no rhyme or reason to their pricing... I've found a few good things there, but too much work for too little pay-off...

haha....i defintily hear what ur sayin about cue tho...they have gotten really bad with their prices in recent years.. bring back the basement!!

I know what your saying about the prices, Armands and cue have some messed up prices. Ive ever seen, but Armands is more of a hip hop place with a limited selection for diggin. Cue has hip hop and some old jazz, rock and soul records, but they more popular records. I wanna find more places like the church you talked about, like thrift stores, but I havent been looking to hard cause ive been busy.
