Discuss the various methods you use in music production, from compressor settings to equipment type.

Im having a hell of a time using the auto region function when I try to chop up a musical loop. I got this intro from a song Im trying to chop into bits from each peak and no matter what settings I try, it wont chop it beyond one or two regions. Drums work almost perfectly for the most part.

I've used the preset settings within the tool and experimented on my own with not much luck. Has anyone else had this problem and has a work around or settings suggestions?

The loop Im working with is "marvin gaye" heard it from the grapevine rhodes intro.

To do this manually, highlight the area you wanna chop, hit "R" for region, you can then give that region a name or just hit "enter" and do the same thing over again for another region.

Presets don't always give you what you want with musicall loops.

But you'll have to funk with the settings in order to customize your automatic chopping (something I'm very good at :D )

Seeing as how you used this feature before you already know that after you've created all your regions you can do the extract thing.

highlight the region you wanna sample, and then just copy and paste it to another window
