What kind of compressor is everyone using?

yeah thats essential- all the highpasses are permemntaly in on my mixer except on the bass and bass drum- the problem with thumping kick based music is that the kick is so loud in terms of balnace that when you compress the beat as a whole the kick squashes the hell outta the top end- i use multiband to keep the kicks consistent

of course different genre- completely different technique

I use Alesis clx-440, Presonus acp-8, Finalizer 96k, Behringer T1952, Behringer dsp9024, ART tcs, Samson S-com plus

i dont really have a favourite but if i have to choose one its the finalizer because it have some other useful features
