transfer my beat to computer

i couldnt find this in the forum. i got a sandisk cf reader, got the 32mb cf, i made a song on the mpc last night. saved it under my name ricky. put it in my computer see my song file but it wont play. it says windows cannot open this file and windows needs to know what program created it. i got the mpc2000xl mcd. plus the drums on the cf card that came with the mpc wont play either . please help me out i look around and coulnt find shi! im a newbie and am learning thanks

You computer will not be able to read files from the MPC.

You will need to record the beat into the computer using the outputs on the back of the MPC.

MPC saves ur "beat" as information also know as Midi

U must record the "beat" whilst its playing into a device (1/4 jacks connected to soundcard from stereo outs on the MPC) and record it using software (logic, protools etc)

The Compact Flash is for storage of samples and information ....It will not playback songs made on the MPC b4 it has been recored as a WAV

Its really simply....Please do some reading on Midi & Audio. Understand what you are using b4 you start using it
